In order to cultivate the international writing and communication ability of our students, Jeffrey William Sanders, Zijiang Chair Professor at DISEI, former researcher of Oxford University and doctoral supervisor, officially gave the course of Writing and Communication in DISEI this semester, which is also the first formal undergraduate course since the establishment of DISEI.

The seven-week course was taught in English, using the BlackBoard to assist. In the course, Pr. Jeffrey adopted a style of writing by incremental development of points. Take active reading as the starting point of the course, lay the necessary basic ability of writing, decompose writing skills through three courses, use a large number of examples for analysis, carry out teaching incrementally, and in the final lecture, a formal writing report and a course report as the test content. In the end, all 32 students of this course successfully passed the test, and gradually mastered the writing and communication skills and were able to apply them to practice.

In this course, Professor Jeffrey carefully prepared each course and impressed students with his humorous and lively teaching style. In the final lecture, Jeffrey shared his new discovery- "bubble tea" after coming to DISEI, and the course was officially ended successfully.
