Prof. Jifeng He led a delegation on an official visit to Université Côte d'Azur, France and Trinity College Dublin between April 15th and 22nd, at the invitation of the two renowned academic institutions.
During their visit in France, representing the School of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Prof. He signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Université Côte d'Azur. Université Côte d'Azur is a newly established university, incorporating 8 different universities and academic institutions, including University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis, with which East China Normal University has signed a memorandum of understanding several years ago and been collaborating in various areas such as student training and joint researches.
They also paid a visit to the postgraduate students from ECNU studying in Nice on double-master programs to observe their work and progress.
After the visit to France, the delegation went to Trinity College Dublin to explore potential approaches of collaboration. The delegation was welcomed by Prof. Andrew Butterfield, head of Foundations and Methods Group at Lero: the Irish Software Research Center, and had a conversazione with professors from Trinity College Dublin, including Prof. Carol O’Suillivan, head of the School of Computer Science and Statistics. Topics discussed at the meeting include joint research projects, student exchange programs, short courses and the establishment of an International Committee for the International School.
