From July 29 to August 3, 2024, the 10th ROS Summer School was successfully held at Dishui Lake International Software Engineering Institute(DISEI).The National Summer School of Robot Operating System (ROS) &Applications was initiated and held in 2015 by East China Normal University (ECNU) , and 2024 marks the tenth anniversary of the national event. In this special year, it has returned to ECNU and was held at DISEI for the first time.

As always, this summer School invited senior ROS researchers, representatives from robotics companies, ROS evangelists, AI/robot-related scholars and entrepreneurs to share their knowledge and experience. Combining basic classes with elite training camps,itstrives to ensure that every participant can gain something valuable from the six days of learning experience.

This year, ROS Summer School attracted approximately 300 students and senior developers from prestigious universities and institutions such as Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, East China Normal University, Tongji University, Harbin Institute of Technology, the National Human-shaped Robot Innovation Center, iFlytek, Shanghai Electric, and Jianghuai Lab.

Over a period of 6 days, the teaching content covers topics such as robot modeling, map building, positioning and navigation, speech recognition, robot vision, machine learning/reinforcement learning, getting started with ROS, ROS robot development and practice, as well as a robot entrepreneurship camp.
